The Desoto Theatre

Work

The most recent work I completed for The DeSoto Theatre was for The Broadway Bradshaws. With three weeks to put together a social media strategy, I was excited to get to work on promoting the event to the community. With a show intended for adults and another one for kids, I created marketing strategies and digital content targeted to a specific demographic. The content I promoted consisted of a clean and bright aesthetic. I developed a giveaway and a paid Instagram/Facebook Ad strategy for the event to maximize ticket sales and increase audience engagement.

While completing my design certification, I obtained a social media marketing role working for a non-profit organization, The DeSoto Theatre. In this role, I assisted the development director by creating digital content and marketing strategies for the theatre. I was fortunate to work with incredible individuals such as clients, donors, and Board members. With my digital content, we achieved over $75,000 in donations and funding for the theatre. In addition to working with clients, I assisted the development director with content for restoration. Through proposals, we received grants and donations to help restore the theatre to its original Hollywood Regency/Art Deco style of the 1940s.

Specifically, I assisted in honoring the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation's efforts to renovate the DeSoto Theatre. Board members of the foundation were the first to tour the DeSoto Theatre after renovations of the banquette and neon lights. It was an honor to connect to so many great in the community.
